MOVE Private Fitness, Southeast Asia’s largest private personal training brand, has officially launched in Singapore with studios in Tanjong Pagar and River Valley, bringing its one-to-one approach to personal fitness to the local market.

Founded in Malaysia by Justin Foo and CJ Lee in 2020, MOVE was created for people looking for an alternative to conventional gym experiences. The brand has since expanded to 25 studios across Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, trained more than 4,000 clients and accumulated over 1,700 five-star reviews.
Unlike traditional gyms, MOVE does not offer group classes, crowded workout floors or walk in sessions. Every workout is conducted privately by appointment with a dedicated trainer, with programmes tailored around each client’s body, goals and schedule.
The brand’s Move Well, Live More philosophy takes a broader approach to fitness by combining four areas of coaching: movement, nutrition, recovery and lifestyle. The aim is to help clients build sustainable habits that support their overall wellbeing rather than focusing solely on what happens during a workout.
Movement training begins with an assessment of how a client’s body moves before exercises are progressively loaded and adjusted as strength improves. MOVE places emphasis on technique before weight to help clients develop consistent movement patterns and train comfortably.
Nutrition coaching is designed around each client’s actual lifestyle, including how they eat, travel and manage meals during busy work weeks. The focus is on practical habits involving areas such as protein intake and recovery that can be maintained alongside professional and personal commitments.
Recovery is another key component, with coaches considering factors such as sleep, stress and how clients recover between sessions. Training intensity can then be adjusted to support continued progress without unnecessary fatigue.
The lifestyle element looks beyond the studio, addressing everyday habits including sitting, movement, sleep and stress management. The goal is for the benefits of training to carry over into how clients feel and function throughout the rest of the day.

MOVE’s programmes cater to a range of objectives, including longevity, quality of life, strength development, returning to exercise after injury and sports performance. The brand positions a leaner physique as a potential byproduct of improved overall health rather than the sole measure of fitness.
Privacy is also central to the concept. Clients train without sharing sessions with a group or waiting for equipment on a busy gym floor. Each session is focused on the individual, making the format suitable for people who may feel uncomfortable in conventional gym environments or simply prefer a quieter setting.
MOVE also places emphasis on its coaching team, looking beyond technical knowledge when selecting trainers. Coaches are chosen based on their character and ability to consistently deliver a high level of care and challenge to clients across the brand’s network.
The Singapore launch comes as MOVE looks to address one of the biggest challenges faced by busy professionals: finding a fitness routine that can fit around work, travel and family commitments. The brand plans to open additional locations across Singapore within its first year.
MOVE Private Fitness Singapore is now open by appointment at 120 Tanjong Pagar Road, #03 01, and 42 Zion Road in River Valley.
