Families can look forward to a weekend of festive activities as the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) and Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) present the fourth edition of Mid-Autumn Family FUN (MAFF) on 19 and 20 September 2026.
Held at SCCC and Singapore Conference Hall, the annual celebration will bring Mid-Autumn traditions into Singapore’s Central Business District with 25 family friendly activities, including interactive lantern walks, hands-on workshops, moongazing activities and a special rooftop installation.
One of the main highlights is Bit Bit Forest Mid-Autumn Light Up!, which will transform SCCC’s Roof Garden and Concourse with five giant inflatable bunnies. The whimsical installation features Bit Bit, a character created by Hong Kong designer and artist Chan Siu Kau. The illuminated bunnies will be displayed from 11 September to 13 December 2026, extending beyond the Mid-Autumn period into the year-end festive season.
Music and storytelling will also take centre stage with SCO’s A Voyage of Voices: Moonbound. The concert marks the launch of a new concert series celebrating Singapore’s diversity and is jointly presented by SCO and SCCC, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY).
Led by SCO Principal Conductor Quek Ling Kiong in his popular role as Ah De, the concert will take audiences on a journey through Singapore’s history, from the early coolie days to modern Singapore. Through moon inspired Chinese orchestral music, festive riddles and storytelling, the performance will explore how new immigrants became part of Singapore’s evolving cultural landscape.
Visitors can also take part in The Makers’ Loft, which features hands-on activities such as Pastel Nagomi Art, traditional Chinese tea whisking, traditional Chinese medicine cold brew tea bag-making and upcycled lantern-making.
At SCCC Concourse, Performing Just For You! will present a lively programme of storytelling, children’s showcases, traditional dance, crosstalk, singing and other cultural performances by local arts groups and performers.
Families looking to capture the festive occasion can head to The Hanfu Wardrobe Corner, where visitors can dress up in Hanfu, traditional Chinese attire, take complimentary photos and create Mid-Autumn memories with their loved ones.
The Mid-Autumn Memory Wall will invite visitors to share their favourite Mid-Autumn Festival memories, creating a collective display that brings together personal stories and memories across generations.
MAFF 2026 is open to the public, with a mix of free and ticketed programmes available throughout the festival. Eligible Singapore Citizens can also use their SG Culture Pass credits to offset ticket costs for eligible MAFF 2026 programmes.
