Fans of Japanese fashion and all things soft and cosy have a new reason to head to Raffles City this September. Tokyo cult favourite gelato pique is making its Singapore debut with a limited-time pop-up at LUMINE Singapore, bringing its much-loved “wearable dessert” loungewear to the city for the first time.
Running from 1 to 30 September 2026, the month-long pop-up will showcase a curated 84-piece selection from gelato pique’s summer collection, with pieces spanning womenswear, menswear, kids, baby, home, and even accessories for cats and dogs.
Best known in Japan for its fluffy, ultra-soft fabrics and cute pastel designs, gelato pique has built a loyal following with loungewear that feels almost as comforting as a scoop of ice cream. Its signature “GELATO”, “SMOOTHIE” and other dessert-inspired fabrics are designed around that idea of softness, giving the brand its playful “wearable dessert” identity.
For Singapore, the summer edit has been specially selected with the local climate in mind. Among the pieces available at the pop-up is the Sea Animal Jacquard Pullover (S$85), made from the lightweight SMOOTHIE material, alongside breezy summer-inspired designs and the adorable Gradient Border Poncho for babies. Pet owners can also get in on the fun with the Yukata for Dogs (S$55), a cooling little outfit for furry companions.
The appeal of gelato pique goes beyond staying at home too. While the brand remains synonymous with loungewear, its playful designs have increasingly found their way into everyday streetwear, making the pieces as much about personal style as they are about comfort.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to experience the brand beyond the racks. The pop-up will feature Instagram-worthy photo spots styled around gelato pique’s recognisable kawaii aesthetic, while shoppers visiting on 5 and 6 September can enjoy complimentary ice cream from homegrown favourite Creamier, available while stocks last.
