Eight Singles, Eight Best Friends, One Villa: Mediacorp’s New Reality Dating Show WINGMAN Arrives This September

Eight singles. Eight best friends. One villa. Mediacorp is putting a fresh spin on the reality dating format with WINGMAN, a new regional dating show premiering 10 September 2026 on mewatch and the Mediacorp Entertainment YouTube channel.

The 12-episode series brings together eight singles from across Southeast Asia, each entering the villa with a best friend who will play a much bigger role than simply offering relationship advice from the sidelines.

The cast includes Olivia, 29, a financial auditor looking for a man with a PhD, clean cut looks and no facial hair; Gigi, 33, who leads technology for a hospitality group and is looking for a “Hyrox man with brains and a heart”; Tyler, 21, who was engaged at 20 and single again by 21; and Cheryl, 24, a pageant queen who says even slippers are acceptable, provided they are Versace.

They are joined by Sam, 29, a gymnastics coach, theme park performer and wakeboarding champion; Thai actress Frayya, 23, who comes from an entertainment family; and Filipino actors and models Marco, 25, and L.A, 33. Both Filipino contestants have experienced dating under the scrutiny of the entertainment press and entered the show hoping to find someone outside the entertainment industry.

The eight singles were brought together following an open casting call held across Southeast Asia in December 2025. Their best friends will take an active role throughout the competition, taking on challenges to earn dates for their singles, evaluating potential matches and helping their friends navigate their romantic decisions.

Among the wingmen are UL, 21, a psychology student who plans to use his knowledge to identify behavioural red flags for Frayya, and Krystal, 30, who reads palms as well as people and believes she can quickly spot red flags for Cheryl.

The stakes extend beyond friendship. The winning couple will receive S$20,000, while the winning wingman will take home a separate S$10,000 prize, giving every best friend a financial reason to take their matchmaking duties seriously.

Hosted by Mediacorp 987 personality Germaine Tan and produced by Beach House Pictures, WINGMAN will run for 12 episodes. The first four episodes will be released on 10 September, followed by two new episodes every Thursday, with the finale scheduled for 8 October.

Viewing will be available free globally, giving audiences across Southeast Asia and beyond the chance to follow the singles, their best friends and the relationships that develop inside the villa.
