Dyson Unveils New Generation of Intelligent Machines Across Oral Care, Floorcare, Air Purification and Hair Styling

Dyson has unveiled a new generation of intelligent machines spanning oral care, floorcare, air purification and hair styling, as founder and chief engineer Jake Dyson introduces technologies designed to bring greater automation, precision and connected intelligence into everyday routines.

Among the new products is the Dyson CameraJet, described as the only toothbrush with an integrated camera designed to identify gaps between teeth and target areas where plaque can build up. The connected device combines brushing, targeted liquid flossing and mouthwash dispensing in a single system.

Developed over six years by 661 Dyson engineers, CameraJet uses a 100,000-pixel macro lens camera and Dyson’s Gap Optical Targeting machine learning system. The system scans 28 live images per second and has been trained using more than 470,000 dental images. It uses 16 million lines of code to detect, track and predict gaps between teeth, allowing the device to direct a precision burst of mouthrinse where it is needed.

The toothbrush incorporates several technologies aimed at improving oral care. These include a conical jet designed to remove plaque while remaining gentle on gums and enamel, an anti-gravity tank that delivers controlled mouthrinse jets from different angles, a dual bristle brush head and variable sonic oscillation to help maintain movement in hard-to-reach areas. Dyson has also developed toothpaste and mouthrinse formulations intended to work with the system.

CameraJet connects to Wi Fi and Bluetooth and works with the MyDyson app to provide live viewing, guided cleaning, coverage mapping, personalised feedback and customisable brushing and jetting modes. Dyson says images are not recorded or stored on the device or in the cloud.

Dyson is also expanding its robot floorcare portfolio with the new Nurovi range, which combines its Neural Intelligence technology with a new Vision system. The range includes the Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV, R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry and R1 Nurovi Dry.

The R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV is Dyson’s most advanced wet and dry robot in the new range. Its stain detection system combines UV light, AI vision and green laser like illumination to identify nearly 200 types of household substances and objects. The machine can repeatedly clean areas until stains are removed, while its self-cleaning wet roller uses a 12-point hydration system to apply fresh water heated to 70 degrees Celsius.

For dry cleaning, the R3 Nurovi features a full width microfibre roller that extends 40mm to reach edges, alongside a 30,000 Pa motor delivering 65 percent more suction pressure. Its cyclonic, bagless dock automatically empties, cleans and recharges the machine after cleaning.

The R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry introduces Reuleaux triangle pads designed to improve cleaning in corners. The constant width geometry allows the pads to move with a precise eccentric motion, creating greater contact with edges. The robot also uses 75-degree Celsius water heated at the dock to assist with stubborn stains.

Dyson’s Twin capture system separates fine and coarse debris. Bristles mechanically sweep larger debris into the machine while the vacuum motor focuses on fine dust. An Acoustic piezo sensor detects dust levels and floor types in real time, allowing the robot to automatically adjust suction power and cleaning behaviour.

The R1 Nurovi Dry focuses on cleaning hard floors and carpets, using Twin capture technology and 21,000 Pa suction. Its redesigned side sweepers are engineered to guide dust and debris into the airflow rather than scattering it, while extending towards walls and corners to improve coverage.

The new Dyson W1 PencilWash was also unveiled in Berlin as an updated version of the wet cleaner launched earlier in 2026. The redesigned machine features a more absorbent roller, a hygienic waste system and self-cleaning technology in the dock, while retaining its lighter and slimmer design.

Dyson is further extending its HushJet airflow technology across its air purifier, heating and cooling portfolio. Inspired by aviation, the HushJet Nozzle uses airflow control principles developed from studying how aircraft manage turbulence and noise. The technology is designed to deliver forward facing air projection while controlling noise generated by powerful airflow.

At the top of the new range is the Dyson HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde, Ioniser and UV air purifier. It combines a low pressure, high flow compressor with a three-stage filtration system designed to capture particulates and gases and destroy formaldehyde. Dyson says the purifier can capture 99.999 percent of pollutants as small as 0.01 microns, while UV sterilisation helps remove 99.9 percent of bacteria.

The Dyson HushJet Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde, Ioniser and UV air purifier provides a more compact option for larger spaces. Dyson says the new machines deliver up to three times more powerful purification than their predecessors while projecting clean air further into the room and providing personal cooling.

The company’s latest hair care innovations include the Corrale CoolShine straightener and Dyson Airsmooth hot brush. The Corrale CoolShine combines flexing plates with active cooling technology to deliver sleek styling while reducing heat exposure. Dyson says the technology can provide up to 29 percent less heat damage.

The CoolShine attachment uses heat extracting pipes containing a controlled amount of water to draw excess heat away from the hair during styling. Dyson says the result is hair that feels cooler and smoother, with up to 154 percent more shine compared with untreated hair. The lightweight straightener is also designed for fewer passes and can create styles lasting up to 24 hours.

The Dyson Airsmooth is the company’s first dedicated hot air brush. It combines airflow technology with PivotFlex and Anti snag bristle technologies to dry, smooth and lift hair across straight, wavy, curly and coily textures. Its dual bristle system is designed to guide hair while reducing snagging and frizz.

Intelligent heat control measures temperature 100 times a second, while universal voltage allows the Airsmooth to be used across different regions.

Alongside the new machines, Dyson is expanding its MyDyson customer service experience with connected intelligence, predictive servicing and personalised support. Services include Dyson Concierge for selected robot purchases from Dyson direct demo stores, expanded in store servicing, a Loan Promise for customers whose machines require repairs, and Dyson Total Restore maintenance services.

The latest launches reflect Dyson’s broader focus on combining advanced sensing, software and engineering with everyday household products. From a toothbrush that identifies interdental gaps to robots that detect stains and floor types, and hair tools that actively manage heat, the new generation of machines is designed to make everyday tasks more precise, automated and connected.
