If you’ve been seeing Pokémon everywhere lately, KFC Singapore is giving you another reason to catch ’em all. From 19 August to 29 September 2026, KFC is teaming up with Pokémon for The Ultimate Launch by KFC: Start Your Trainer Journey to Become A Master, bringing themed outlets, exclusive collectibles, Pokémon GO activities and a new Japanese-inspired menu to Singapore.

We got a first taste of the new menu at the media preview, and the Japanese Nanban flavours definitely deserve a spot on your next KFC run.

The Japanese Nanban Zinger ($7.50) features a crispy and spicy chicken thigh fillet coated in a sweet and tangy Nanban sauce, topped with shredded cabbage and a generous layer of chunky Japanese-style egg tartar sauce. The combination of heat, tanginess and creamy tartar gives the familiar Zinger a pretty fun Japanese-inspired twist.

The Japanese Nanban Chicken Bites ($6.90 for six pieces) come with the same Nanban glaze and egg tartar sauce with an addictive crispy crust.

We also tried the Japanese Nanban Loaded Fries ($5.95), with crispy fries coated in the same sweet and tangy Nanban glaze and finished with a generous drizzle of creamy, chunky Japanese-style egg tartar sauce.

For something sweet, the new Sweet Potato Balls start at $3.95 for six pieces. The purple and golden shells hide a chewy, mochi-like centre, making these a fun little add-on to finish the meal with its resemblance to Pokemon balls.

Beyond the food, Pokémon fans can look forward to plenty of collectibles. The Pokémon Reversible Everyday Blind Pouch ($14.95) comes in four surprise designs featuring Pikachu, Eevee, Mew and Snorlax, while the Poké Ball Bucket ($12.95) is a 23cm storage bucket that is arguably one of the more eye-catching pieces from the collection.

There are also Pokémon Gaming Chopsticks featuring Pikachu and Gengar, a Pikachu Car Neck Pillow set and a limited-stock Pokémon Evolution Jacket featuring Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard. The jacket is priced at $99, so this one is definitely for the serious collectors.

The Pokémon takeover extends beyond the merch too. All 71 KFC outlets across Singapore will become Pokémon GO PokéStops and Gyms from 19 August, while five selected outlets will be transformed according to Pokémon types: Water at NEX, Fire at JEM, Electric at Kallang, Ghost at Compass One and Grass at Jurong Point.

Each themed outlet will feature Pokémon-inspired decorations, photo spots and special decals, including Mega Raichu X, Mega Raichu Y, Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y.

For those who have always wanted to learn Pokémon Trading Card Game but never quite knew where to start, KFC will also be hosting more than 200 beginner-friendly tutorial sessions in September. Participants who complete the training can receive a paper playmat, reward voucher and battle deck, with registration available for free on a first-come, first-served basis.
