Soup Restaurant is celebrating Singapore’s 61st birthday with six new National Day dishes, available at 61% off on weekdays from now to 31 August 2026 across all 12 outlets, limited to one dish per table. The limited-time dishes will remain on the menu until 30 September.
We tried four of the new creations alongside some of Soup Restaurant’s familiar dishes, and the promotion makes this a particularly good-value meal.

We started off with their signature dish.
The Samsui Chicken remains one of the restaurant’s strongest dishes. The chicken is tender and clean-tasting, while the fragrant ginger sauce adds plenty of flavour. Served with lettuce, it is a simple, light dish that still feels satisfying.

The most unusual new dish was the Double-boiled Crocodile Soup with Wolf Berries (S$16.90 per person). The crocodile meat is mild and tender, with a texture closer to chicken, although it can look a little like pork. The soup itself is light and savoury with gentle herbal notes. It is double-boiled for more than four hours with Chinese almonds, wai shan and Astragalus root.

The Laksa Prawns (S$29.90 small, S$44.85 medium, S$59.80 large) turn the familiar laksa into a prawn dish. The prawns are sweet and succulent, while the coconut-based laksa sauce brings the expected light spicy, aromatic flavours.

The Chef’s Selection: Kopi O Pork Chop (S$25.90 small, S$38.85 medium, S$51.80 large) is another dish with local influence. The crispy pork chop is coated in a kopi O siew dai (Singapore-style black coffee) glaze, giving it a combination of savoury, sweet and lightly bitter coffee flavours.

We also had the Poached Baby Spinach with Conpoy in Century & Salted Eggs Stock for some greens. The simple, yet delighful dish features tender vegetables and a savoury stock that adds depth without being too heavy.

For dessert, the Homemade Pandan Panna Cotta with Gula Melaka (S$4.90 per person) is straightforward but enjoyable. The smooth pandan panna cotta is paired with gula melaka for a familiar local flavour combination.

We did not get to try the Stir-Fried Pig’s Blood Tofu with Mustard Green (S$21.90) or Assam Uncle Lapan Fish (S$78), the other two National Day creations, but they seem interesting too.
Overall, it is a clean and relatively healthy-feeling meal, with a good mix of vegetables, soup, leaner dishes and more indulgent options. The crocodile soup is worth trying for the novelty, while the Samsui Chicken remains the dependable favourite.
The main reason to visit during this period is the 61% discount.
The offer applies to all six National Day specials on weekdays from 16 July to 31 August, making dishes such as the Laksa Prawns, Kopi O Pork Chop, Crocodile Soup and Pandan Panna Cotta particularly good value.
