The announcements were made during the inaugural TikTok Shop Singapore Summit, a full day hybrid event that gathered more than 1,500 sellers, creators and ecosystem partners to explore how businesses can leverage content creation and LIVE selling to accelerate growth.

As part of its long-term commitment, TikTok Shop plans to support and train at least 1,000 local sellers by the end of 2027, while equipping more than 3,000 creators with new skills by the end of 2026. The programmes are designed to help participants strengthen their content creation, LIVE commerce and digital selling capabilities, enabling them to reach more customers through TikTok Shop’s platform.

The new initiatives come as TikTok Shop continues to experience strong momentum in Singapore. Over the past year, the platform recorded a 1.7 times year on year increase in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), alongside a 1.6 times year on year growth in monthly buyers. The performance reflects increasing consumer adoption of content led shopping experiences and growing opportunities for businesses to expand through discovery commerce.

TikTok Shop also highlighted how local brands are benefiting from the platform’s ecosystem. Singapore fashion label Young Hungry Free has used TikTok Shop as an important growth channel, leveraging content driven commerce and LIVE selling tools to expand its audience and grow its online business while continuing to build a community around individuality and empowerment.

Another local success story is Kim’s Duet, a brand created by heritage coffee business Kim Guan Guan. By embracing TikTok Shop’s content-based approach, the second-generation family business has been able to introduce its traditional local coffee products to a new generation of consumers while preserving its heritage.

Looking ahead, TikTok Shop said it will continue investing in capability building, partnerships and ecosystem development to strengthen Singapore’s discovery commerce landscape. Through ongoing collaboration with sellers, creators and business partners, the platform aims to create more opportunities for local businesses to grow while helping creators build sustainable careers in content led commerce.
