Collectively, recognised Companies of Good have contributed close to S$384 million in cash donations, more than S$85 million in in kind donations, and over 1.1 million volunteer hours over the past three years, reflecting the significant social impact created through purpose driven business practices.

The announcement was made at the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre’s Company of Good Conference and Conferment held at Fairmont Singapore, where nearly 700 business leaders gathered. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong attended as the Guest of Honour and presented the Champion of Good recognition to 63 organisations. Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and the Ministry of Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling also attended as Special Guest and conferred the Company of Good 3 Hearts recognition to 113 organisations. During her keynote address, themed “10x: Multiplying Impact Through Purpose”, she highlighted the increasing importance of embedding purpose into core business strategies.

The Company of Good Recognition System, administered by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre, recognises organisations for their commitment to Corporate Purpose across five areas: People, Society, Environment, Governance and Economic. The framework is designed to support organisations at different stages of their journey through four recognition levels: Company of Good 1 Heart, Company of Good 2 Hearts, Company of Good 3 Hearts and Champion of Good.

This year, the 481 recognised organisations comprised 63 Champions of Good, 113 Company of Good 3 Hearts recipients, 128 Company of Good 2 Hearts recipients and 177 Company of Good 1 Heart recipients. Small and medium enterprises accounted for the majority of this year’s recipients with 376 organisations, representing 78 percent of the cohort. They were followed by 103 large enterprises and two public service agencies.

Several organisations demonstrated how Corporate Purpose has translated into measurable impact. AI led technology services company NCS progressed from a Company of Good 3 Hearts recipient in 2025 to Champion of Good in 2026 after increasing its donations and more than doubling volunteer hours from nearly 4,700 to 9,800 within a year. The company also applied its technology expertise to initiatives focused on digital inclusion, education and youth development, including workshops in generative AI, programming and digital design for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Tea company Nava 1872, operating as The 1872 Clipper Tea Co., also advanced from Company of Good 3 Hearts in 2024 to Champion of Good in 2026. Beyond providing in kind support to charities, the company integrated social impact into its operations by partnering with the National Kidney Foundation to create employment and skills development opportunities at its tea bars for individuals undergoing treatment who may otherwise face challenges entering the workforce.

As the Company of Good movement enters its second decade, the focus is shifting from building awareness to multiplying impact by encouraging businesses to extend Corporate Purpose across their value chains and industry networks.

One example is Chye Thiam Maintenance, a Champion of Good recipient in 2025, which brought together more than 60 employees, contractors and industry partners to refurbish over 10 homes for disadvantaged seniors in Sengkang. The initiative included collaboration with newly recognised Company of Good 3 Hearts recipient Hexacon Construction and Shin Seiki, which received Company of Good 2 Hearts recognition this year. Chye Thiam Maintenance has also shared its Corporate Purpose journey with members of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Youth Business Affairs Committee, inspiring more organisations to begin similar initiatives.

The conference also marked the launch of a new collaboration to strengthen food security and support vulnerable communities in Singapore. Initiated by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, the initiative encourages businesses to adopt food donation boxes in support of The Food Bank Singapore. Call Lade Enterprises, a 2025 Champion of Good, will serve as the logistics partner, while newly recognised Company of Good 2 Hearts recipient Cheng Heng Paper Products Co. will sponsor paper cartons. Together, the collaboration aims to reduce food waste, improve supply chain coordination and enhance the efficiency of food distribution to beneficiaries across the country.
