As the United States gears up to welcome millions of international visitors for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in helping fans plan, navigate and enhance their travel experiences before and during the tournament.

Leading this digital effort is Brand USA, the official destination marketing organisation for the United States, which is highlighting a growing network of AI-powered travel tools designed to help visitors access information, discover attractions and navigate host cities with ease. From multilingual digital concierges to personalised trip planning assistants, destinations across the country are using AI to connect with travellers in real time and in their preferred languages.
At the national level, Brand USA’s America the Beautiful Game trip planning hub serves as a central resource for World Cup visitors. The AI-powered platform connects fans with information about all 11 host cities, base camp destinations, travel planning resources and tourism experiences across the country, providing a comprehensive starting point for international travellers.
Several host cities have already launched their own dedicated AI visitor assistants ahead of the tournament. In the New York and New Jersey region, the official NYNJ World Cup Concierge offers real time transit directions, venue details, local recommendations and match day information through the host committee’s website. Visitors can also use Libby, the AI assistant developed by New York City Tourism + Conventions, which operates in 60 languages across its website, WhatsApp and Instagram channels. The tool helps visitors build itineraries, discover local businesses and explore all five boroughs of New York City.
On the West Coast, Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board recently introduced Angel, an AI concierge created specifically for the World Cup. The platform helps fans make the most of their time in Los Angeles, which will host eight matches at SoFi Stadium, including the opening match of the U.S. Men’s National Team campaign.
Further north, Visit Seattle has developed Emerald, an AI assistant that supports more than 45 languages and provides personalised recommendations covering attractions, restaurants, neighbourhoods and transportation for visitors attending matches at Lumen Field.
In Florida, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau has integrated an AI assistant into its tourism website. Visitors accessing the dedicated World Cup planning section receive tournament focused information alongside recommendations covering beaches, neighbourhoods, dining and nightlife around Hard Rock Stadium, which will host seven matches.
Other host destinations are also embracing AI to support visitors. Discover Atlanta offers Atlanta Travel Chat for local recommendations and event information, while Meet Boston provides an AI trip planning tool for fans travelling to matches at Gillette Stadium. In California, San Francisco Travel has embedded a conversational AI planner into its website, helping visitors discover attractions ranging from Golden Gate Bridge to the city’s renowned dining scene.
Additional AI-powered visitor assistants are available through Visit Kansas City, Discover PHL, Visit Dallas and Visit Houston, each offering tailored recommendations and travel support for fans arriving in their respective cities.
