IMBA Theatre is set to host the Southeast Asia debut of internationally acclaimed Australian artist Cj Hendry this June, presenting two immersive large-scale experiences at Gardens by the Bay. The programme features Flower Market, a free installation that has previously drawn long queues in cities including New York, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi and Sydney, followed by the world premiere of JuJu World, a ticketed inflatable experience based on Hendry’s popular JuJu collectible series.

Running from 10 to 14 June 2026, Flower Market will transform IMBA Theatre’s gallery space into a whimsical floral environment filled with tens of thousands of plush blooms. Designed to resemble an oversized flower stand, the installation invites visitors to explore and “shop” for flowers in a playful, slow living inspired setting where they can mix and match stems to create their own bouquet experience.

The Singapore edition will feature more than 30 flower varieties, including exclusive designs created for this debut. These include representations of the Papilionanthe Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower, the Raffles’ Pitcher Plant and the Singapore Ginger Flower. Entry to Flower Market is free, with pre-registration encouraged, and every visitor will receive one complimentary flower as part of the experience.
Following this, JuJu World will open from 20 June to 18 July 2026 as the first ever inflatable experience dedicated to Hendry’s JuJu collectible series. The installation introduces a bold yellow colourway and features limited large scale JuJu sculptures created exclusively for Singapore. These special pieces will not be available after the exhibition closes, making the Singapore edition a one-time presentation.
Known for her hyperrealistic drawings and large-scale public installations that blend fine art with pop culture, Cj Hendry has built an international following by making art accessible and interactive. Her works often invite audiences to step into surreal environments that reimagine everyday objects and experiences.
Together, Flower Market and JuJu World represent Hendry’s most ambitious showcase in Southeast Asia to date, combining accessibility, spectacle and interactive design within a single programme.
Both experiences will be held at IMBA Theatre at Gardens by the Bay.
Flower Market runs from 10 to 14 June 2026 with free admission, while JuJu World runs from 20 June to 18 July 2026 as a ticketed experience. Both installations welcome pre-registration, with walk ins available subject to capacity.
