Fitbit is ushering in a new chapter for health and wellness in Singapore with the launch of an upgraded AI powered health ecosystem alongside a brand-new wearable device, the Fitbit Air.
The latest move signals a shift from a wearables focused experience to a more holistic and personalised health platform designed to help users better understand and manage their wellbeing through continuous insights, proactive guidance and connected experiences.
As part of this evolution, the Fitbit app will be rebranded as the new Google Health app. The updated platform will serve as a central hub for users to monitor their health data, bringing together vitals, activity levels and recovery metrics in a more streamlined and intuitive interface. The app also introduces expanded social features including leaderboards that allow users and their friends to track steps and cardio load together.
The new ecosystem will also introduce Google Health Coach for Google Health Premium subscribers, formerly known as Fitbit Premium users. Powered by Gemini and built using scientific research alongside guidance from clinical experts, the AI driven coach is designed to act as a fitness trainer, sleep expert and wellness advisor. It will provide personalised insights, help users understand health trends and offer motivation tailored to individual goals and habits.
Alongside the updated health platform, Fitbit has also unveiled the new Fitbit Air, a lightweight screenless tracker created to make health tracking more accessible across different lifestyles and budgets. Designed for all day wear, the Fitbit Air integrates seamlessly with the Google Health app and Google Health Coach while using high fidelity sensor technology to deliver continuous health monitoring in a compact and minimalist form factor.
The Fitbit Air will retail at S$189 in Singapore and will be available through the Google Store as well as retailers including Best Denki Singapore, FairPrice Online, Shopee Singapore, Lazada Singapore and Amazon Singapore.
