Tech giant Google has introduced Personal Intelligence for Gemini users in Singapore, bringing a more personalised and context-aware AI experience to the region.

Previously launched in the United States, the feature is now available to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers in Singapore, with a wider rollout to free users expected in the coming weeks.
A More Personalised AI Assistant
Personal Intelligence enhances Gemini’s capabilities by allowing it to deliver tailored responses based on information from connected Google apps such as Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube, and Search.
Once enabled, users can choose which apps to link, giving Gemini the context it needs to provide more relevant and helpful answers. For instance, the AI can combine booking details from Gmail with saved images from Google Photos to help plan trips or organise daily activities more efficiently.
Seamless Integration Across Apps
The feature is designed to simplify how users access information across Google’s ecosystem. Instead of switching between multiple apps, users can retrieve insights from different sources in a single interaction with Gemini.
Whether planning a holiday or revisiting saved content, Gemini can consolidate relevant details, from travel bookings to screenshots and recommendations, into one cohesive response.
Conversations That Learn Over Time
Gemini also builds on past interactions to improve future responses, making conversations more intuitive. By default, it can reference previous chats to better understand user preferences, though this setting can be turned off at any time.
Users retain full control over their data, with options to manage, delete, or disconnect app integrations whenever they choose.
Privacy-First Design
Google emphasises that Personal Intelligence is built with privacy at its core. The feature is turned off by default, and users must opt in to connect their apps.
All processing leverages data already securely stored within Google’s ecosystem, meaning sensitive information does not need to be shared externally. Gemini also provides transparency by referencing sources where possible, allowing users to verify how responses are generated.
Importantly, the system avoids making assumptions about sensitive topics and does not directly train on personal data from Gmail or Google Photos.
Continuous Improvement and User Feedback
As a beta feature, Personal Intelligence is still evolving. Users may occasionally encounter inaccuracies or overly personalised responses, particularly in nuanced situations. Google encourages feedback through built-in tools to help refine the experience over time.
Currently available for personal Google accounts across web, Android, and iOS platforms, the feature does not yet extend to Workspace business, enterprise, or education users.
