MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2026 Unveiled: New Two-Star Winners and Special Awards Highlight Culinary Excellence

The latest edition of the Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau has been officially unveiled, marking its 18th edition and celebrating the global 100th anniversary of the prestigious MICHELIN Star.

Announced at a ceremony held at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort, the 2026 guide features a total of 278 restaurants, 219 in Hong Kong and 59 in Macau, spanning MICHELIN Star, Bib Gourmand, and Selected categories.

Two Hong Kong Restaurants Earn New Two MICHELIN Stars

This year’s selection saw two restaurants in Hong Kong elevated to Two MICHELIN Stars for their exceptional culinary standards.

Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic, helmed by celebrated chef Anne-Sophie Pic, earned its promotion, marking a significant milestone for her second venture in Asia.

Meanwhile, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon made a strong comeback following refurbishment, reclaiming its place among the top-tier establishments with its refined French cuisine.

The additions bring the total number of Two MICHELIN Star restaurants in the region to 19.

Three-Star Restaurants Retain Top Honours

At the highest level, seven Hong Kong restaurants retained their coveted Three MICHELIN Stars, including 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo – Bombana, Amber, Caprice, Forum, Sushi Shikon, Ta Vie, and T’ang Court.

In Macau, Jade Dragon and Robuchon au Dôme also maintained their Three-Star status, continuing to set benchmarks for fine dining in the region.

New One-Star Additions Expand the Guide

Four restaurants were newly awarded One MICHELIN Star this year. In Hong Kong, China Tang and Sushi Takeshi made their debut in the guide, while Macau’s Don Alfonso 1890 and Palace Garden were promoted from the Selected category.

These additions bring the total number of One-Star establishments to 70 across both destinations.

Sustainability in Focus with MICHELIN Green Star

Five restaurants retained their MICHELIN Green Star recognition for their commitment to sustainable gastronomy. These include Amber, Feuille, Mora, Roganic, and UTM Educational Restaurant.
