Your Favorite Brazilian Scents from Sol de Janeiro are Now Available as Jelly Perfume Balms in Singapore

Fragrance brand Sol de Janeiro is bringing a completely new way to enjoy their beloved scents to Singapore. Launching locally in the first week of April at Sephora Singapore both online and in stores, the Jelly Perfume Balm marks the brand first foray into solid fragrances.

These compact sticks offer scent users a more tactile and intimate application method. Rooted in the Brazilian concept of being cheirosa, which translates to smelling delicious, these new balms are designed to foster confidence and self expression.

For someone like me who has a sensitive nose that gets triggered easily by the cloud of traditional spray perfumes, this solid format is an absolute godsend. Instead of a strong mist that lingers in the air, the balm delivers a concentrated yet subtle swipe of scent directly onto the skin.

Crafted with the same fragrance oils found in their popular perfume mists, this new alcohol free formula melts effortlessly.

The texture is smooth and inviting, gliding on with a translucent and non sticky finish that makes discreet touch ups easy. It delivers a subtle yet enduring scent that elevates daily routines without being overpowering, addressing a common complaint with traditional mists.

You can expect impressive longevity, with the fragrance lasting up to ten hours and each twist up stick providing up to one thousand swipes.

To make it even more convenient, the brand has also introduced a custom clip on keychain to keep the balm easily accessible.

The collection debuts with three globally cherished aromas, each assigned a number that pays homage to a significant moment in Brazilian history.

We sampled all three variations, starting with Cheirosa 62, a sunny gourmand blend of pistachio, salted caramel, and vanilla that honours the year the world heard The Girl from Ipanema.

Next up is Cheirosa 68, which mixes Brazilian jasmine, pink dragonfruit, and ocean air, inspired by the 1968 Tropicalia Movement for those who prefer bright florals.

Finally, we tried Cheirosa 40, offering a sultry mix of black amber plum, jasmine blooms, and vanilla woods that captures the glamour of the historic 1840 Carnaval Ball in Rio.

“Jelly Perfume Balm is our first solid fragrance format. It gives people a simple, active way to have Cheirosa with them everywhere they go, so they can layer it with their favorite Cheirosa mists and extend the life of those scents throughout the day. It’s easy to use, perfect for on-the-go moments, and designed to be a collectible ritual that feels personal and real,” shared Jordan Saxemard, Chief Marketing and Digital Officer of Sol de Janeiro.

The Sol de Janeiro Jelly Perfume Balms will be available first week of April onwards at Sephora Singapore (online and in-stores).
