Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer at Marina Bay Sands is entering a new chapter with the global debut of its latest dessert concept, the CrazySundae. Known worldwide for its towering CrazyShake milkshakes, the New York born burger joint is now evolving the idea with a new dessert that pays tribute to the classic ice cream sundae while keeping the brand’s signature over the top spirit.
Singapore has been chosen as the very first stop of the CrazySundae World Tour, making the Marina Bay Sands outlet the first place in the world to launch the concept. The debut lineup features three playful flavours that combine nostalgic ice cream parlour elements with bold textures and toppings.
The Hella Hot Fudge is the richest of the trio. Built on a base of vanilla ice cream, the sundae is layered with flourless chocolate cake, candied peanuts, spiced peanut brittle and cocoa pebbles. It is finished with whipped cream and a glossy drizzle of spicy hot fudge sauce, creating a decadent dessert that balances deep chocolate flavours with a subtle hint of heat.
For something brighter, the Cherry Bomb leans into nostalgic dessert flavours. Vanilla ice cream is topped with slices of cherry pie and crunchy pie crumble, then finished with sour cherry sauce and maraschino cherries. The result is sweet, slightly tart and reminiscent of a classic diner style sundae.
The Bangkok Banana Crunch brings a tropical twist to the lineup. Vanilla ice cream is paired with fried bananas, banana pudding, cornflakes and banana crunch for layers of texture. A generous drizzle of dulce de leche ties everything together with a creamy caramel sweetness that rounds out the dessert.
Each CrazySundae arrives piled high with toppings and vibrant colours, delivering the same visual impact that made Black Tap’s CrazyShakes a global sensation. While the flavours draw inspiration from traditional sundaes, the scale and creativity reflect the playful personality the brand has built its reputation on.
The launch also marks the unveiling of a newly expanded alfresco dining space at the Marina Bay Sands outlet. The outdoor area seats up to 38 diners and offers sweeping views of the city skyline in a relaxed open air setting.
The evening itself reflected Black Tap’s lively New York energy. We were welcomed with interactive activities including a station where attendees could customise their own tulip glass as a keepsake. The celebration continued with live entertainment including a dance performance and a DJ set inspired by classic hip hop from the 1990s and early 2000s.
Alongside the desserts, we were also treated to Black Tap’s signature craft burgers and a selection of sides. The All American Burger delivered exactly what its name promises, featuring a juicy prime beef patty topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and special sauce.
On the side, we sampled a few dishes that were perfect for sharing. The crispy Brussels Sprouts, served with a sesame tahini dressing, offered a slightly nutty and savoury contrast to the richer mains. We also had a basket of chips that were simple but addictive, alongside popcorn that made for a fun, easy snack between bites.
