As families across Singapore prepare for reunion dinners and the joy of a new year, Geneco is launching its latest Chinese New Year (CNY) campaign titled #WhereProsperityBlooms. This year, the nation’s top residential electricity retailer is shifting the focus of festive prosperity toward the next generation, highlighting the importance of nurturing children and protecting the environment they will inherit. Through a series of high impact partnerships and community initiatives, Geneco is encouraging Singaporeans to embrace sustainable habits while celebrating traditional customs.

A major highlight of the 2026 campaign is the strengthening of Geneco’s five year partnership with the Garden City Fund.

Supporting the Singapore Botanic Gardens’ most ambitious digitalisation project to date, Geneco is contributing to the creation of Southeast Asia’s largest online database of botanical specimens. This initiative aims to digitise approximately 800,000 herbarium specimens by 2027, ensuring that 150 years of botanical knowledge is preserved for future researchers and educators. To support this cause, Geneco has pledged a S$15,000 donation, which is being matched under the Tote Board’s Enhanced Fundraising Programme.

Members of the public can learn more about this heritage at the Pressed in Pixels exhibition currently held at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Beyond conservation, Geneco is also engaging youth through technology and creativity. Following a successful collaboration in 2024, the brand has once again teamed up with Marshall Cavendish Education for the International Environmental Coding Competition. This partnership led to the creation of the Where Prosperity Blooms Game, which was co developed with eight year old Ethan Reber, a young participant from the Philippines. By playing this interactive sustainability themed game, the public can help trigger Geneco’s donation toward the Singapore Herbarium digitalisation project while standing a chance to win weekly prizes.

In line with the festive spirit, Geneco has unveiled its 2026 limited edition red packets.

These packets feature four vibrant floral designs and a unique pop up motif that reveals interesting facts about the Singapore Herbarium. Printed on 100% recycled paper, these red packets serve as both a cultural gift and an educational tool for children.

To ensure these materials do not go to waste, Geneco’s Used Red Packet Recycling Initiative is returning for its sixth and largest edition. The network has grown to over 250 collection points islandwide, including new partners like Lendlease Malls, SAFRA clubs, and 27 educational institutions. Since its inception, the program has diverted over 12,100 kilograms of paper from landfills.

Adding a touch of local entertainment to the campaign, Geneco collaborated with popular YouTube creators Outcasts to produce an original music video titled 幸福园.

The video features a playful concept where children take on the roles of parents, emphasising the campaign’s message of family unity and environmental stewardship.
