foodpanda has launched two new upsized pandamart XL outlets in Kallang and Yio Chu Kang, responding to growing demand for convenient grocery shopping with wider product assortments and dependable availability of everyday essentials. The expansion reflects a shift in consumer behaviour, as more Singaporeans turn to delivery platforms not just for last-minute needs, but for full pantry restocks.
Since 2023, foodpanda has recorded a 7 per cent increase in monthly grocery order frequency, alongside an 8 per cent rise in the average number of items per order between 2024 and 2025. These trends point to shoppers increasingly using quick-commerce for planned grocery runs rather than impulse purchases.
The new pandamart XL stores are built to support larger orders. Each outlet carries an expanded inventory with 30 per cent more products than a standard pandamart, covering everyday staples, snacks, ready-to-eat meals, household items and more. The wider range also includes imported specialty products and locally popular items, allowing customers to stock up more in a single order while still enjoying delivery within an hour.
The Kallang and Yio Chu Kang openings follow the success of a pilot pandamart XL launched in Redhill in 2025, bringing the total number of XL outlets to three. Strategically located, these stores are designed to support wider delivery zones across Singapore. Across all pandamart locations, including the XL format, foodpanda leverages hyperlocal demand data to guide product assortment and stock planning, ensuring each store is tailored to the neighbourhoods it serves.
The launch of the new XL stores coincides with the release of foodpanda’s first Kiasu Pasar Report, which highlights how Singaporeans are rethinking grocery shopping amid rising price consciousness and a desire for convenience. The report points to the growing appeal of quick-commerce, a fast, on-demand delivery model that is increasingly integrated into daily routines.
Key insights from the report include:
