T5 In the Making Exhibition Opens, Offering a First Look at Changi Airport’s Future Terminal 5

Singaporeans and travellers alike are invited to step into the future of aviation with T5 In the Making, a new immersive exhibition that brings the vision of Changi Airport’s upcoming Terminal 5 (T5) to life. Registration is now open for the free public showcase, which runs from 6 January to March 2026 at Changi Airport Terminal 3’s Arrival Hall.

Jointly organised by the Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, and Changi Airport Group, the exhibition offers a behind-the-scenes look at the ideas, designs and innovations shaping one of Singapore’s most ambitious infrastructure projects.

Spread across five interactive zones, T5 In the Making traces Changi Airport’s evolution, from its strategic shift from Paya Lebar to Changi, before diving into the scale, architecture and forward-thinking concepts behind T5. Visitors can explore how emerging technologies are being studied to address key challenges such as manpower constraints, an ageing population and climate change.

The journey culminates in experiential zones featuring Artificial Intelligence (AI) interactions and detailed scale models of Terminal 5 and the wider Changi East development, inviting visitors to imagine how the airport experience of tomorrow may look and feel.

Those keen to visit are encouraged to register in advance, with slots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each registration can accommodate up to five people. Walk-in visits will also be accepted, subject to availability.

Terminal 5 forms a major part of the broader Changi East development, which includes a third runway, cargo complexes, and supporting aviation and ground transport infrastructure. Construction of T5 began in May 2025, with completion targeted for the mid-2030s.

Beyond reinforcing Changi Airport’s standing as a world-class air hub, T5 is expected to create significant economic opportunities, driving demand for services and generating jobs across multiple industries. The terminal is also envisioned as a vibrant space where families, friends and the airport community can gather and connect.
