Show Wesugi, the iconic voice behind Slam Dunk’s beloved theme song “Till the End of the World”, makes his long-awaited Singapore debut on 27 December 2025 at ARENA@EXPO.
The concert, titled “Till the End of the World: Show Wesugi Asia Tour 2025 – Singapore”, marks a milestone in the veteran singer’s 34-year career, promising an emotional and unforgettable night for fans across generations.
A Song That Defined an Era
When Slam Dunk first hit Singapore screens in the 1990s, it sparked a nationwide craze and helped shape local basketball culture. Among its most iconic elements was Wesugi’s stirring theme song, which captured the heartfelt redemption arc of character Hisashi Mitsui and became a timeless anthem of resilience and never giving up.
Written and performed by Wesugi, the track continues to strike a chord with fans today, evoking childhood memories and the electrifying spirit of the Shohoku basketball team.
A 90s J-Rock Icon Returns to the Spotlight
A defining force in the golden age of 90s J-Rock, Wesugi rose to fame as the lead vocalist and songwriter of legendary band WANDS, debuting with “Loneliness is the Color of Autumn” in 1991. After leaving the band in 1996 due to creative differences, he went on to form al.ni.co and is now frontman of rock band Nekodamashi.
For his Singapore show, fans can expect a nostalgic journey through Wesugi’s biggest hits, from Slam Dunk favourites to WANDS classics like “Motto Tsuyoku Dakishimeta Nara” and “The Door of Time”, complete with fresh arrangements backed by top Japanese musicians and stunning stage design.
