Based on Disney’s 1991 animated classic, the original Broadway production ran for over 13 years and toured to 37 countries, cementing its status as one of Broadway’s top 10 longest-running shows. This new production retains the magic and heart of the original, with iconic songs like Belle, Gaston, Be Our Guest, and the sweeping title ballad Beauty and the Beast, featuring the legendary music of Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice.

The creative team behind the original Broadway musical reunites for this reimagining, led by Olivier Award nominee Matt West (director and choreographer), with original composer Alan Menken, lyricist Tim Rice, book writer Linda Woolverton, scenic designer Stan Meyer, costume designer Ann Hould-Ward, and lighting designer Natasha Katz. Together, they earned five Tony nominations for the original production, with Hould-Ward winning for Best Costume Design.

Following phenomenal success in Australia—where the show sold over one million tickets across Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne—this Singapore season is poised to be one of the most anticipated theatrical events of the year.

Beauty and the Beast is produced by Disney Theatrical Group, under the direction of Andrew Flatt, Anne Quart, and Thomas Schumacher, and presented in Singapore by Base Entertainment Asia, led by Chantal Prudhomme.
