This summer, Cathay is soaring to new heights with an enhanced flight schedule, offering nearly 300 weekly return flights between Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland during the peak travel period. Catering to growing demand for both leisure and business travel, these increased frequencies promise more flexibility and convenience for travelers.

- Shanghai: With eight daily return flights to Pudong International Airport and 11 weekly return flights to Hongqiao International Airport, Cathay offers 67 weekly return flights to Shanghai.
Increased Frequencies to Popular Destinations
Cathay is also ramping up services to several other cities:
- Zhengzhou, Ningbo, Haikou, and Chongqing: All increasing from four to seven return flights per week, with HK Express adding daily flights to Ningbo.
- Hangzhou: Four return flights per day.
- Nanjing: Twice daily flights.
- Wenzhou: 10 return flights per week.
- Wuhan: 12 return flights per week.
In a notable addition, direct flights between Hong Kong and Urumqi will launch on 28 April, further expanding Cathay’s reach.

The Cathay Group is also strengthening Hong Kong’s position as a global aviation hub by adding 13 new destinations to its network this year. Highlights include Hyderabad, Dallas, Rome, Munich, Brussels (Cathay Pacific), and Sendai, Nha Trang, Ishigaki, Komatsu, and Daegu (HK Express).
By 2025, the Group will connect passengers to over 100 destinations worldwide, offering seamless travel and boosting cultural and economic exchanges across borders.
