UBS Singapore has entered the Singapore Book of Records with a stunning 60-meter-long tapestry crafted from upcycled textiles, commemorating Singapore’s 60th year of independence (SG60). Unveiled as part of UBS’s inaugural “Art for All” community art program, this collective masterpiece symbolizes Singapore’s journey of unity and progress while reinforcing UBS’s commitment to sustainability and the arts.

A Collaborative Community Effort

The tapestry, created with over 35kg of textiles, is the result of a donation drive organized by UBS employees, which collected an impressive 400kg of fabric. While excess materials were donated and recycled, the core materials were transformed into art through community weaving activities and workshops. Participants included UBS employees, Care Corner children, and other community partners, fostering creativity and collaboration at UBS’s flagship office at 9 Penang Road.
