Food Republic has reimagined its VivoCity outlet, unveiling a stunning transformation that pays homage to Singapore’s cultural evolution. After a two-month renovation, the food atrium now transports diners through time, recreating the journey of a humble village in the 1920s blossoming into a lively settlement of the 1950s.
Beyond its nostalgic charm, the revamped outlet introduces an innovative Mini-Restaurants concept, offering a unique dining experience while supporting local food entrepreneurs. This initiative enables hawkers and small restaurant owners to expand their reach with reduced operating costs, addressing the challenges of Singapore’s competitive F&B industry. With enhanced marketing, operational, and technological support from Food Republic, tenants can focus on crafting exceptional dishes for diners.
Since its debut in 2006, Food Republic VivoCity has been celebrated as one of Singapore’s first thematic food courts, offering a museum-like ambiance. Now spanning 27,000 square feet with 870 seats, the revitalized atrium continues to captivate diners with its immersive setting and a diverse array of local and international cuisines.
A Homecoming Feast for All
The revamped outlet has introduced new tenants, including viral sensations like Mon Chinese Beef Roti, known for its halal-certified, crispy pastries, and Xi Dian Dim Sum, featuring handmade Cantonese recipes rooted in 1960s Hong Kong and Macau. New Mini-Restaurants, such as Zhang Liang Mala Tang and Mizuya Kaisen Don & Tempura, promise to delight diners with signature dishes in a welcoming, casual environment.
Long-time favorites like Sergeant Hainanese Chicken Rice, Xia Yi Tiao Prawn Noodles, and Chinatown Tan’s Tutu Cake remain anchors of the food atrium, continuing to serve beloved hawker classics to both tourists and locals.
Grand Reopening Promotions
To celebrate the reopening and usher in the new year, Food Republic VivoCity is offering exclusive “Fortune 8 Bundles” promotions. Diners can enjoy discounts of up to 51% on set meals from 17 participating tenants until January 31, 2025 (excluding public holidays and their eves).
