Scoot has added new routes to three captivating destinations: Phu Quoc in Vietnam, Padang in Indonesia, and Shantou in China. Starting December 20, 2024, flights to Phu Quoc and Padang will launch, followed by Shantou on January 16, 2025.
With lush landscapes, unique attractions, and cultural treasures, each location promises a unique travel experience. Phu Quoc, renowned for its pristine beaches and the UNESCO-listed Phu Quoc National Park, is Vietnam’s only 30-day visa-free zone, making it a convenient paradise for international travelers. Scoot will operate five weekly flights to Phu Quoc starting December 20, 2024.
For those drawn to rich culture and coastal beauty, Padang—home to the famous Nasi Padang cuisine and Minangkabau culture—awaits. Scoot’s four weekly flights to this hidden gem begin on January 6, 2025.
In China, Shantou’s vibrant coastal scenery and historic attractions, like the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and the serene Nan Ao Island, offer a rich immersion into Chaoshan culture. Scoot’s three weekly flights to Shantou will commence on January 16, 2025.
Scoot is also optimizing its network with additional flights to popular destinations. Jakarta flights will increase to 19 times weekly from November 24, 2024, Koh Samui flights will expand to 21 weekly from December 20, and Davao flights will see an increase from 9 to 11 times weekly starting from 17 December 2024. Meanwhile, Vientiane will gain an additional weekly flight starting February 9, 2025. Flights to Nanchang, however, will end on February 14, 2025, as part of network adjustments.
With these expansions, Scoot will operate 31 weekly flights to three Vietnamese cities, 84 flights to 11 Indonesian cities, and 89 flights to 17 destinations in China by early 2025. Tickets for Phu Quoc, Padang, and Shantou are now available, with one-way fares starting from SGD135. Bookings can be made via Scoot’s website, app, and select platforms.
