This October, Singapore will host the historic Amerigo Vespucci and Villaggio Italia for the first time, with the renowned Navy training ship docking at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre for five days. Starting on October 24, the Amerigo Vespucci’s arrival will be marked by an opening ceremony attended by authorities from both Singapore and Italy. Guests will be invited to explore the rich maritime heritage and Italian excellence showcased aboard.
Visitors can experience the magnificence of the Amerigo Vespucci, often hailed as “the most beautiful ship in the world,” from October 24 to 27. With its nearly 100-year legacy, this ship represents Italy’s naval traditions and serves as an ambassador of “Made in Italy” excellence. The Villaggio Italia, a traveling exhibition celebrating Italian culture, art, music, food, cinema, technology, and scientific research, will accompany the ship, offering visitors a deep dive into the beauty and innovation of Italy.
The Amerigo Vespucci World Tour – Villaggio Italia initiative, supported by Italian Government Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto, combines traditional Navy training with the global promotion of Italian supply chains, culture, and innovation. At the Marina Bay Cruise Centre, visitors can attend events dedicated to music, cinema, art, and discussions on sustainability, technology, and entrepreneurship.
To visit the Amerigo Vespucci and Villaggio Italia, guests can book their free tickets online. Comfortable footwear is recommended for boarding the ship.
Daily from 9 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. (Exceptions: Thursday, October 24 will open at 7:30 p.m., and Monday, October 28 will close at 5 p.m. after the closing ceremony).
