Flying with Emirates just got even better. As part of their commitment to providing you with a world-class experience, Emirates has launched a new program for their cabin crew called L’art du vin. This initiative, introduced in June 2024, offers bespoke wine courses that take Emirates’ already renowned in-flight wine service to the next level. Whether you’re in Economy or First Class, you can expect a more refined and knowledgeable service when it comes to your wine selection.
The L’art du vin program is designed to enhance the cabin crew’s understanding of Emirates’ impressive wine collection. Imagine being served by a crew that not only knows the wines they pour but also shares your curiosity about the world of wine. This program, created by the Emirates Crew Training design team, takes place at the Emirates Cabin Crew Training College in Dubai, where cabin crew learn in a dedicated classroom that mirrors a high-end lounge, complete with mood lighting, ambient music, and an array of wines and glassware.
The training offers three levels: L’art du vin Introduction, L’art du vin – Business Class, and L’art du vin – First Class, each tailored to different experience levels. As part of the experience, cabin crew get to taste the wines you’ll find on board, ensuring they can make informed recommendations during your flight. With the first 1,000 crew members already trained, Emirates plans to extend this program to over 22,000 more by 2026.
If you’re flying First Class, expect expert knowledge about some of the world’s finest wines, from Bordeaux’s prestigious Château Cos d’Estournel to California’s iconic Opus One. Business Class travelers will benefit from the crew’s deeper understanding of wine and food pairings, while those in Premium Economy and Economy can still enjoy exceptional wines, thoughtfully selected to enhance your meal.
