This competition offers students from Institutes of Higher Learning a hands-on learning experience, emphasizing the horticultural expertise required for designing and constructing landscaped areas. Themed “Celebrating Tropical Nature,” ten teams had four hours to turn 3m by 3m plots into beautiful gardens. They were judged on design, execution, plant variety, suitability, and project management.

Associate Professor Faishal Ibrahim, Minister of State for Home Affairs & National Development, presented the awards. Silver went to Singapore Polytechnic’s Sol Tropicana for their immersive kampong experience “Celebrating Tropical Nature: Frames of the past.”
