Emirates is set to host a recruitment drive in Singapore on 16 August 2024, aimed at expanding its multinational cabin crew team. With plans to increase its cabin crew by 25%, Emirates seeks to recruit 5,000 new members globally.
The upcoming recruitment event is invite-only and will be held on 16 August 2024, a Friday. Interested candidates must apply through the Emirates Group Career website to be shortlisted and invited to the event. Emirates plans to hold additional recruitment events in Singapore throughout the year, following a recent drive on 16 July 2024.
Emirates is looking for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable moments for customers. Safety is a top priority, so candidates must be confident leaders in managing aircraft services, security, and safety procedures. All new recruits will receive world-class training at Emirates’ state-of-the-art facility in Dubai.
In 2024, Emirates’ recruitment team will host open days and assessments in over 460 cities across six continents, highlighting the airline’s vast network and diverse cabin crew team. In 2023, the airline hired 8,000 cabin crew members and conducted recruitment events in 353 cities. Emirates’ cabin crew now numbers 22,000, surpassing the 20,000 milestone in August 2023.
Emirates’ recruitment drive coincides with the delivery of new A350s later this year and Boeing 777-Xs in 2025. The airline has 65 A350s and 205 777-9s and 777-8s on order, which will expand its reach and enable new routes.
New cabin crew recruits undergo a rigorous seven-and-a-half-week training program in Dubai, focusing on hospitality, safety, and service. The training equips them with essential skills such as communication, initiative, leadership, and the ability to work in a multicultural team. Cabin crew also have access to ongoing training programs and LinkedIn courses.
Emirates’ cabin crew team includes members from over 140 nationalities, with more than 75 from Singapore. The team speaks over 70 languages, ensuring customers can converse in their preferred language. Cabin crew form lifelong friendships and bonds, fostering teamwork and a shared service philosophy.
Cabin crew enjoy excellent career progression, with opportunities to advance to higher cabin classes, become a cabin supervisor, purser, or trainer. Currently, 1,180 pursers have climbed the career ladder after completing rigorous training and assessments. Crew can also apply for internal vacancies within the Emirates Group.
