The highly anticipated Singapore Night Festival returns to the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct for its 15th edition from 23 August to 7 September 2024. For the first time, the festival will span three weekends, offering an extended period of nocturnal excitement under the theme “The Art of Play.” This theme draws inspiration from the precinct’s rich history as the birthplace of some of Singapore’s earliest schools, exploring the concept of play and childhood.
A Journey Through Light and Art
Visitors can immerse themselves in the unique stories and traditions of the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct through the festival’s signature projection mapping artworks and night light installations by local and regional artists. The festival will feature a variety of exciting programs, including jazz performances, a xinyao singalong, and a plethora of food and retail experiences across numerous Festival Villages.
Highlight Act: Wonder World
This year’s highlight act, Wonder World, invites festival-goers to step back in time and bask in the retro vibes of Singapore from the 1950s to the 1970s. Conceptualised by local artist SKL0, this whimsical amusement park experience delves into our modern ideas of nostalgia and heritage. Visitors can look forward to amusement park rides, old-school game stalls, nostalgia-themed food and beverages, and captivating performances.
