The ninth edition of Pesta Ubin is set to enchant attendees with a rich array of activities that embody the sustainable and conservation-driven spirit of “Live Kampung” in harmony with nature. This year’s festival goes beyond mere celebrations, fostering a deeper love and appreciation for Pulau Ubin’s heritage and ecosystem through educational and immersive experiences for all ages.
Hands-on Activities from June 8 to 23
Pesta Ubin 2024 offers an exciting lineup of activities, including wildlife photography, cycling trails, and guided walks around Pulau Ubin. Most of these programs are free and provide locals and tourists alike the chance to explore Ubin’s lush biodiversity and rich heritage, all while being guided by experts.
Ecological and Heritage Learning Tour

Embark on a 3.5km journey from Ubin Jetty to Puaka Hill. Discover Ubin’s history at the town square, spot flying lizards, and marvel at historic kampong houses. Experience rubber tree tapping and visit the eccentric “jetty” toilet before reaching Puaka Hill for stunning panoramic views.
Going Coconuts on Ubin!

Starting at the 椰子 (Yēēzi) drink stall in Ubin main village, refresh yourself with a delicious, fresh kelapa while supporting the islanders. This activity includes stops at a coconut grove to observe the local wildlife and discover the ethnobotanical importance of coconuts. Participants will enjoy healthy tea and fragrant coconut snacks.
Balik Chek Jawa
