Singapore HeritageFest (SHF) is back and better than ever, ready to take you on a journey through the stories and living heritage behind Singapore’s iconic buildings, sites, and structures. Presented by the National Heritage Board (NHB), this year’s festival, from May 1st to May 26th, boasts over 120 programs that dive deep into the heart of Singapore’s cultural tapestry.
Exploring Built Heritage
In its 21st edition, SHF shines a spotlight on Singapore’s built heritage, coinciding with the 35th year of Singapore’s conservation program. With 75 National Monuments, over 7,000 conserved buildings and structures, and countless historical sites and landmarks, Singapore’s built heritage is a testament to its rich history. But this festival isn’t just about admiring architecture – it’s about experiencing the stories and culture that breathe life into these spaces.
What’s On?
From workshops to tours, exhibitions to activities, SHF 2024 offers something for everyone. Dive into offshore tours to kelongs and kampongs, explore the spookier side of Singapore’s heritage with ghostly encounters, or embark on a secret “undisclosed” experience. With over 80 community partners, SHF promises a diverse array of experiences that can be enjoyed on foot, by bus, and even by boat.
Exciting Partnerships
This year, SHF is proud to welcome local heritage brand Yeo’s as an Official Partner. To celebrate, Yeo’s will be launching a special edition Orchid Chrysanthemum Tea inspired by Singapore’s National Collection. Additionally, DP Architects joins as a new partner, offering tours of Singapore’s downtown area and presenting the signature HOMEGROUND: We Built This City installation at the National Museum of Singapore.
