Marina Bay Sands, in collaboration with The Food Bank Singapore, hosted its third annual Sands Cares Global Food Kit Build event today, marking a significant effort to combat food insecurity in Singapore. The initiative, part of parent company Las Vegas Sands’ commitment to global community engagement, aims to support vulnerable communities worldwide.
Building a Brighter Future
At the event, Marina Bay Sands brought together over 330 Team Members, retail tenants, and representatives from benefiting organizations to assemble 5,200 food kits. These kits, packed with essentials like biscuits, Milo, rice, and canned food, will be distributed to communities in need across Singapore.
A Continued Partnership
Marina Bay Sands has been working closely with The Food Bank Singapore since 2016, addressing hunger and supporting at-risk communities through various initiatives. From donating unserved catered food to volunteering at The Food Bank Singapore’s warehouse, Marina Bay Sands is committed to making a positive impact on food insecurity in Singapore.
Making a Difference
The completed food kits from this year’s initiative will be distributed through The Food Bank Singapore to nine benefiting organizations, including Singapore Red Cross, PERTAPIS, and Sunlove, all of which participated in the event. By addressing food insecurity and supporting disadvantaged individuals, Marina Bay Sands and The Food Bank Singapore are making a tangible difference in the lives of many.
Global Engagement for Community Impact
The Sands Cares Global Food Kit Build is just one of three signature initiatives under the Sands Cares program, which aims to advance nonprofit organizations and make a positive impact on communities worldwide. Through initiatives like the Sands Cares Global Hygiene Kit Build with Clean the World and the Sands Cares Accelerator program, Marina Bay Sands continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating a brighter future for all.
