As the Southeast Asia region sees a surge in participation, Epson is proud to introduce the highly anticipated category – The Pano Awards Southeast Asia Photographer of the Year 2024. This accolade aims to honor the exceptional skills and creativity of photographers from this vibrant region, with Epson Southeast Asia joining as one of the key sponsors of the competition.
The winner of this prestigious title will receive rewards worth at least USD5,000, including the Epson SureColour SC-P5300, a professional-grade photo printer, and fine art media. Each year, top-performing photographers gain global recognition, with their works showcased in numerous publications worldwide, providing a well-deserved platform for their outstanding achievements.
The Pano Awards have consistently attracted a diverse range of international entries, with last year’s competition receiving a record-breaking 4,414 submissions from over 1,000 photographers across 102 countries. This global enthusiasm underscores the significance of panoramic photography and the importance of these awards. Notably, there has been a remarkable increase in registrations from Asia, with a 26% surge in participation from the region in 2023 compared to the previous year.
This year’s judging panel comprises distinguished photographers and industry experts, including Andy Chua, James Tan, Chris Yap, Hugh Hou, and last year’s Open Photographer of the Year, José D. Riquelme. Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, technical excellence, and originality, ensuring a fair and rigorous selection process.
