Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is set to soar to new heights in the 2024 summer schedule as it expands its long-haul network to include Seoul, the vibrant capital of South Korea. Adding to the excitement of previously announced intercontinental routes to Washington, DC, and Toronto, Canada in the West, SWISS is now set to connect Seoul with Zurich, Switzerland, in the East.
Summer 2024 will mark a milestone as Seoul welcomes its first-ever SWISS services, offering travelers a perfect blend of traditional charm and contemporary flair. The South Korean metropolis boasts iconic attractions such as the historic Gyeongbokgung Palace and futuristic landmarks like the N Seoul Tower. In turn, Switzerland beckons with its majestic Alpine landscapes, featuring iconic peaks like the Matterhorn and Jungfrau, alongside the dynamic economic and cultural hub of Zurich.
SWISS is gearing up to launch thrice-weekly non-stop flights between Zurich and Seoul, starting from May 7, 2024. The airline will deploy Airbus A340 aircraft equipped with First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class options, ensuring a comfortable and varied travel experience.
The eastbound flight, LX122, is scheduled to depart Zurich at 13:40 on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in Seoul at 08:25 the following day. On the westbound journey, flight LX123 will take off from Seoul on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 09:55, touching down in Zurich at 16:50.
This strategic expansion not only reinforces SWISS’s commitment to connecting global destinations but also presents travelers with new opportunities to explore the rich cultural tapestries of both Seoul and Zurich. Whether it’s the bustling streets of Seoul or the picturesque landscapes of Switzerland, SWISS is set to make these journeys seamless and unforgettable.
