Asher and I stayed at Ascott Orchard Singapore on a weekend during his December school holidays and enjoyed ourselves very much, crafting our fragrance to take home.

The fashion-themed hotel is situated in the Orchard shopping belt, offers smart living options and offers 220 suites ranging from studios to top-floor apartments. The property is well-connected to prime locations and various central MRT train stations, ensuring easy access to shopping, business districts, and medical facilities.

We love the design of the sustainable wooden key cards that the hotel uses

We stayed in a Studio Executive Suite and it comes with a compact kitchen area where you can prepare a simple meal and make your own coffee or tea:

If you prefer a more premium room, there are several other room types available like the larger one or two bedroom premier suites; as well as rooms decked with designer brand furniture like Fendi:

For the staycation, the booking also came with access to the Resident’s Lounge on the fourth floor which is fitted with a fully-equipped kitchen. Rental charges apply for private parties or hosting, but if it is not booked out, guests are welcome to share the area.

Residents’ Lounge

During our stay, we used the lounge to play board games and read books while enjoying a cup of tea. The lounge is conveniently located on the same floor as the gym, swimming pool, children’s playground as well as the connected walkway to Paragon shopping mall.

It was the Christmas festive period during our stay and made use of the opportunity to do some last-minute Christmas shopping at Orchard for our family and friends. It was super convenient to be able to drop batches of our shopping bags at the hotel nearby and then head out again for another round of shopping. We were able to easily explore the vibrant shopping district without the hassle of commuting or looking for parking lots.

For those driving, the hotel carpark is accessible via 22 Bideford Road (entrance opposite Holiday Inn Express) and is linked to the hotel lobby on Level P4. One complimentary parking coupon was provided for our staycation booking.

Breakfast was served at kith cafe, located on the first floor. There was a decent selection of international fares, from sandwiches to porridge.

The amenities were a highlight of our stay. Having the pool, lounge, and gym all located on the same floor was a main draw for us. We spent quality time exercising, playing, and just enjoying each other’s company. The pool offered a refreshing escape, while the lounge was perfect for relaxing and unwinding after a day of exploration.

For a father-son duo like us, the gym was also a shared space to work out, challenge ourselves, and have fun.

All in all, the stylish hotel is situated in a very convenient location in the Orchard shopping area and a staycation there would appeal to those who love shopping. The slew of amenities would make it attractive to families with younger kids, looking to spend more time together as a family to have fun.

The Blissfulness Bottled is available from 1 December 2023 to 31 January 2024 at Ascott Orchard Singapore and Ascott Raffles Place Singapore.
