Amazon Singapore Spreads Joy with Page to Page Pop-Up and S$100,000 Donations to Local NPOs

In a heartwarming celebration of literature and community engagement, Amazon Singapore launched the ‘Page to Page: Amazon Singapore Books Pop-Up’ at Punggol Regional Library. The event, graced by Senior Minister of State, Dr Janil Puthucheary, brought smiles to the faces of children from local Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs).

Literary Delights and Joyful Storytelling

The launch event featured a special storytelling session by Dr. Janil Puthucheary, who captivated the audience with a tale from ‘The Trampolines that Nadia Built’ by Darren C. Ong. The session emphasized the simple joy that reading brings, especially during the holiday season. The event created a delightful space for children and youth from NPOs to experience the magic of literature.

Amazon’s Gift to the Community

Attendees at the pop-up enjoyed a carefully curated selection of books from Amazon, arranged in the shape of a Christmas tree, adding a festive touch to the literary celebration. Following the conclusion of the pop-up on December 17, these 500 books will be generously donated to the National Library Board (NLB), enhancing the library’s collection for the broader community’s benefit.

A Generous Donation to NPOs

The highlight of the morning was Amazon Singapore’s generous donation of S$100,000 to four noteworthy NPOs: Children’s Wishing Well, Club Rainbow (Singapore), Glyph Community, and Fei Yue Family Service Centre. This financial contribution underscores Amazon’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Joining the Season of Giving

Amazon invites customers to participate in the season of giving by exploring the Amazon x Shop for Good Wishlist campaign. By shopping from various NPO wishlists, customers can directly contribute to fulfilling the needs and aspirations of these organizations, making a meaningful impact on the community.
