[Review] Bar B Q Tonight Singapore – Affordable Pakistani Barbecue Cuisine Prepared on Live Charcoal

Have you tried Pakistani cuisine? If not, Bar B Q Tonight Singapore will be a good first restaurant to get introduced.

The restaurant at Robert Lane in the Little India area is the franchise of a famous Pakistani restaurant chain and has been delighting diners for over a decade in Singapore. This establishment has garnered a loyal following among Singaporeans, international visitors, and others, thanks to its commitment to offering the best cuisines from Pakistan at an affordable price, with a particular emphasis on its exquisite barbeque dishes.

I was first introduced to the restaurant nearly a decade ago by a Pakistani ex-colleague, who is still a regular at the restaurant to this day. One visit and I was hooked.

After almost three years of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been a while since I last visited the restaurant and I was delighted to be invited by the restaurant for a dinner tasting with my family last week.

As a meat lover, I was eager to savour their renowned barbecue dishes again. All their barbecues are prepared on live charcoal, as this traditional cooking method imparts a unique and smoky flavour to the food.

I was not disappointed. The barbecue dishes at Bar B Q Tonight were a true delight for the taste buds. The succulent kebabs, marinated to perfection, were cooked to perfection on the live charcoal, resulting in a mouthwatering smoky aroma and exceptional flavour.

While the focus is undoubtedly on the barbeque dishes, Bar B Q Tonight also offers a range of other options, including vegetarian dishes like the Palak Paneer.

Bar B Q Tonight is also Halal certified, providing reassurance to diners who observe halal dietary practices.

Prices are also incredibly reasonable and it would be hard to find another South Asian restaurant to offer quality barbecue cuisine at this price anywhere else in Singapore.

In terms of its history, Bar B Q Tonight has a rich legacy, tracing its roots back to its inaugural opening in 1988 in Pakistan. Over the years, it has become a symbol of hygiene, quality, and exceptional taste in its home country.

The expansion of Bar B Q Tonight to various locations around the world is a testament to its success and popularity. The franchisee who brought the franchise to Singapore recognised the gap in the local culinary scene and took a chance to introduce the restaurant’s flavors to Singapore.

For those looking to indulge in authentic Pakistani cuisine, Bar B Q Tonight Singapore is a must-try. Whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian, the restaurant offers a diverse menu that caters to a range of preferences.
