This Lunar New Year, CapitaLand is celebrating the “Year of The Rabbit” across 15 CapitaLand malls in Singapore.
From today until 5 February 2023, fans of Disney can usher in the Lunar New Year with a display titled “Senses of Joy”, featuring Disney’s Mickey Mouse & Friends character installations. This life-sized centrepiece is a multi-sensory display that will rove between three select malls and features specially curated scents, music, innovative AR filters, and photo opportunities for fans.
Spending rewards, retail pop-ups with collectable Disney figurines and merchandise and official Disney-themed WhatsApp and Telegram stickers will also form part of the festivities for shoppers and their families.
CapitaLand will also be introducing a series of digital red packets to encourage more sustainable gifting for shoppers during the Lunar New Year. These limited-edition Disney-themed digital red packets are available in four curated designs inspired by the adorable Mickey Mouse, Zootopia’s Judy Hopps and Toy Story’s Ducky and Bunny.
The first 18,000 shoppers who purchase S$20 eCapitaVoucher or gift a digital red packet via the CapitaStar app can also enjoy a festive cashback of 1,888 STAR$.
Families and Disney fans visiting CapitaLand malls will have the opportunity to check out an exciting installation which will tour three malls: Bugis+, Plaza Singapura, and IMM. Surrounded by a floral-themed set up with Lunar New Year music, the installation features life-sized figurines of Disney’s beloved Mickey Mouse & Friends, including Daisy Duck and Pluto, in a lion and dragon dance display.
Roving “Senses of Joy” Centrepiece Schedule:
Local perfume lab Oo La Lab curated a range of limited-edition scents for the Lunar New Year festivities, inspired by the gorgeous floral display that forms part of the installation. Curious shoppers and Disney fans can discover the curated scents embedded within the display – which is currently being showcased at Bugis+ and can be seen at Plaza Singapura from 13 to 24 January 2023 and IMM from 25 January to 5 February 2023.
You are also encouraged to post photos of the festive celebrations on Instagram, where you can use specially designed AR filters, including several frames for selfies and interactive floral blooms.
You will also be able to purchase collectable figurines of the characters featured in the display centrepiece at Disney-themed pop-ups.
Disney pop-ups located in seven CapitaLand malls in Singapore will extend a wide range of Disney-themed merchandise such as adorable pet accessories, apparel, collectables and more from local brands like Klosh, L’zzie, Shop The Paw, and The Elly Store. Selected CapitaLand malls including Tampines Mall, Westgate, and Junction 8 will continue to host Disney-themed pop-ups happening now until late January.
Adding to the festivities, spend a minimum of S$150 will stand to redeem eCapitaVouchers. CapitaStar members also stand to earn more rewards with an additional S$10 eCapitaVoucher!
What’s more, CapitaLand is presenting shoppers with a chance to win an all-expense paid trip for four to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort when you shop at 15 CapitaLand malls and Jewel Changi Airport.
From 3 January 2023 to 29 February 2024, every S$60 spent on the same day during each qualifying period entitles CapitaStar members to a lucky draw chance for the grand prize of the trip. Consolation prizes include S$500 eCapitaVoucher each for 10 winners. CapitaStar-DBS PayLah! linked members can double their chances when they pay with DBS/POSB payment modes.
