There are so many tea brands out there, why should one try T2 tea?
For one, T2 tea is a luxury tea brand that is born and brewed in Melbourne, Australia, known for its natural and fresh produce. T2 uses only whole leaves to brew their tea, and nothing but the leaf, as well as the best fruits, herbs, and flowers they can find. This ranges from single-origin, hand-rolled one bud with two leaves from China to cocoa husks from the Solomon Islands to the world’s best peppermint from the northern USA.
Other than their stringent quality control and assurance, T2 is also committed to being a socially responsible company that is dedicated to sustainability. The brand wants to be a brewing force for good, to help redefine what business “success” looks like and to put people and the planet first.
Over the last four years, T2 has taken steps to change their policies and practices to reflect its commitment.
T2 has since been B Corp certified since 2020 and are currently in the process of recertifying with completion due by November 2022. This is no easy feat as the certification follows a very strict and stringent process.
Globally, other than T2, over 5,000 companies make the cut for B Corp certification, doing business that puts people and planet first – by reducing inequality, lowering levels of poverty, creating healthier environments, building stronger communities, and imbuing jobs with dignity and purpose.
T2 took its first sip 20 years ago in Melbourne, Australia. From over two hundred unexpected flavours like Fruitalicious and Jade Mountain to beloved favourites like French Earl Grey and Melbourne Breakfast, there’s a tea to suit every style, taste, and mood. T2 teas are housed in orange gift cubes, which over the years have become an iconic symbol of the T2 brand. T2 now also sells quality teas and eclectic teawares all around the world, from London’s Regent Street to sunny California.
T2 is part of the Unilever Group, one of the world’s top 100 companies.
I first sampled T2 tea during a staycation at Adina Orchard, a new serviced apartment concept seeking to bring some of the charms from down under to Singapore.
Priced at a premium compared to regular tea brands, there is a wide range of flavours, with colourful, attractive packaging, making them perfect for gifting. As a luxury tea brand, I appreciate their commitment to sustainability, as should all other luxury brands.
Their teawares are extremely pretty too and would complete the gifting experience, paired together with a few boxes of T2 tea.
