The LEGO Group announces the return of its Rebuild the World Campaign to champion family playtime and encourage children to be creative innovators of tomorrow.
This year, The LEGO Group invites families to increase social playtime between parents and children to strengthen familial ties and cultivate creative problem solving through an interactive LEGO Young Rebuilders Playdate session that will be held on 9 October 2022 or participate in the LEGO Young Rebuilders Challenge from the comfort of their homes.
This is also in conjunction with 2022 as the Year of Celebrating Singapore Families dedicated by the Ministry for Social and Family Development.
Increasing Family Playtime
The LEGO Group’s Rebuild the World Campaign aims to facilitate playtime among parents and children through building and rebuilding with LEGO bricks. This year’s campaign will include the launch of the LEGO Young Rebuilders Playdate for children and parents to come together and express their creative freedom through social play with LEGO bricks.
To kickstart the journey towards increased family playtime, The LEGO Group, in partnership with the National Library Board (NLB) will have an interactive LEGO Young Rebuilders Playdate session held at library@harbourfront on 9 October. The session will be hosted by parenting coach Jacinth Liew (@ourlittleplaynest) from 11.30am – 1pm or 2.30pm – 4pm.
During the event, you can find specially curated books and recommended programmes by librarians. The LEGO group’s event at library@harbourfront also supports NLB’s LAB25 (Libraries and Archives Blueprint 2025) initiative to create a dynamic “Learning Marketplace” through multiple learning pathways and supporting learning communities with similar interests.
Each session can host 20 parent-child pairs and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Interested families may sign up here.
You can also look out for actress-parent Nurul Aini (@aanurul) and entrepreneur-parent Jerilyn Moon’s (@jerilynmoon) Instagram pages to sign up for exclusive LEGO Young Rebuilders Playdate sessions on 8 October that are organised specially for their followers, friends, and family to build and rebuild creatively together.
