In celebration of World Oceans Day on 8 June 2022, S.E.A. Aquarium welcomes you to join the eco-festival to learn how to protect the seas before they become A Colourless Ocean. You can look forward to an exciting line-up of programmes, including interactive art installations, engaging workshops and a beach clean-up to discover how you can do your part to protect the world’s vibrant and beautiful oceans.
From 28 May to 26 June 2022, young ocean enthusiasts can also sign up for the Junior Ocean Protector Camp to learn about marine biodiversity through fun and enriching activities during their mid-year school holidays.
A Colourless Ocean (27 May – 16 August 2022)
Discover the importance and wonders of the vibrant seas with A Colourless Ocean at S.E.A. Aquarium, and how you can help to protect the oceans and the marine life which inhabits the oceans. With a roster of programmes, activities and a pledge wall, guests will be treated to an educational and inspiring journey that seeks to encourage love and protection for the oceans before they turn colourless due to the detrimental effects of climate change.
Immerse in an ethereal art installation titled OBNOVA at the Shipwreck Gallery. Created by local award-winning multi-disciplinary artist, Rizman Putra, OBNOVA gives you a glimpse of how an ideal future would look like with a restored and flourishing oceanscape.
Ayer Ayer Shore Table
Interact with marine debris and learn about the impact of microplastics at the Ayer Ayer Shore Table, an interactive table sculpture presented in partnership with social enterprise, The Ayer Ayer Project. From 28 May till 14 June, the Ayer Ayer Shore Table confronts audiences with the extent of marine debris in our oceans, aiming to inspire you to take action and participate in beach clean-ups.
Representing the coastlines of Singapore and Malaysia, the Ayer Ayer Shore Table is embedded with microplastics collected from both countries’ shorelines. You can sift through the sandy Shore Table to collect the microplastics, akin to a coastal clean-up. The microplastics collected from the Shore Table can be used to create colourful mosaic artworks that participants can bring home.
Alternatively, you may also pledge to reduce plastic consumption and refuse single-use plastics by contributing their mosaic artworks to the Pledge Wall at the end of their visit to Ocean Fest.

Nurture your children through the S.E.A. Aquarium’s Junior Ocean Protector Camp – a fun and enriching day camp happening over the mid-year school holidays.
