Police report lodged on Sept 4 alleging that Titus Low had transmitted photographs and videos of his private parts.
Social media influencer Titus Low Kaide, 22, was charged in court on Thursday (30 December) for transmitting obscene materials by electronic means.
He had uploaded sexually explicit photographs and videos on OnlyFans, a subscription-based online platform where users can share sexually explicit pictures and videos.
He was also charged under the Criminal Procedure Code for allegedly defying a police order not to access his OnlyFans account.
Who is Titus Low?
Titus Low, who is Singaporean, is known as Singapore’s highest-earning male adult content creator on OnlyFans.
Now, he can add another accolade to his name- he is believed to be OnlyFan’s first content creator in Singapore to be charged for sharing obscene materials on it.
Besides OnlyFans, Titus Low also has considerable followings on other online platforms. As of Thursday (30 Dec 21), he has 164k followers on Instagram and more than a million followers on TikTok.
Earns five-figure monthly income; not close with parents
Titus Low had previously shared that he earns a good five-figure income each month from OnlyFans. How does he earn the money?
It is by getting people to pay for his content. On his OnlyFans page, he promises users exclusive access to his explicit picture and videos (such as of himself masturbating) at subscription rates from $20 per month to $180 for a whole year.
No doubt he is racking in the cash. He stays in a posh apartment with a rent of SGD $9,000 a month, which he splits with his friend. Surrounding him are branded designer goods, from his bedsheets (Balmain) to his two cats (purebreds), as revealed during an interview with Rice Media.
In the same interview, Titus Low also revealed that he is not on good terms with his parents- “I’m not close with them”.
Real life VS Reel life
Surprisingly, Titus Low is described as shy and very soft-spoken in person. From his uploads, most of which features himself in various stages of nakedness with tattoos in full glory, suggest a more forceful personality.
Titus Low said that the online attention he receives helped him to become more confident.
Titus Low gets into trouble with the law
According to news reports, Titus Low had uploaded multiple obscene materials – 32 photographs and 29 videos – on one of his OnlyFans accounts between April and October 2021.
The police instructed him to stop accessing the account but he did not comply and continued to upload sexually-explicit materials – three photographs and five videos – onto his second OnlyFans account in October.
The Singapore Police Force said they received a report on 4 September 21 alleging that Low had transmitted images and videos of his private parts using his OnlyFans account.
The Police added: “The police would like to remind the public that it is illegal under the Penal Code to transmit any obscene materials by electronic means. It is also against the law to take part in or receive profits from any business where obscene materials are transmitted by electronic means or advertise the sale of obscene materials. Members of the public may wish to lodge a police report if they are aware of persons engaging in such activities.”
up to three months Jail and/or fine up to $5,000
If found guilty, Low could be jailed for up to three months and/or fined up to $5,000.
