Craft Tea Fox’s Matcha and Hoijicha used to make the lattes are air-flown from their partner tea farms in Uji, Kyoto, Japan. The difference between the two is that Matcha is made by grinding the green tea leaves while Hoijicha is made by roasting the green tea leaves. As such, there is a roasted flavour to the latter.

Each 250ml bottle retails at $7 or you can order them in a bundle of 6 lattes for $41.40. Free shipping is available for orders above $40.

The lattes are to be kept refrigerated upon receiving them and and can last for 3 to 5 weeks, with expiry date clearly printed on the label.

Both beverages are lightly sweetened and come in recyclable glass bottles.

We were sent a bundle of 6 bottles for review (3 Hojicha lattes and 3 Matcha lattes) which I kept refrigerated and consumed them over a period of a week.

Strong in tea flavour and light in sugar, they were a good way to perk up in the morning as opposed to a dose of espresso. It would be even better if they have a unsweetened version with zero sugar added and that would have been the perfect choice for me.

I like it that they come ready-to-consume and can be chilled easily in the glass bottles as I prefer my drinks cold, given Singapore’s hot weather.

At $7 a bottle, the pricing is at a premium. The quality is there though and it will appeal to tea lovers who know their stuff.
