“Will I be supporting local just for the sake of supporting local?” The answer is No. Many of these local brands are better suited for Asian skin and our tropical climate, and also ahead of the eco-curve in using green ingredients in their formulations.
The ‘for SG by SG’ initiative is a partnership between Watsons and Enterprise Singapore to help local brands survive the covid economic disruption by leveraging on Watsons’s vast networks (local, overseas, digital, brick and mortar) to gain better visibility.

I tried THE ELIXIR ( PROBIOTIC AND ROSE SERUM) and the first thing I noticed was the lovely rose scent, which makes self-care a joy. Started by two chemists, Botanica Culture features liquid toothpastes based on food grade organic oils. Liquid toothpaste?! Are you intrigued? I definitely was.
As per instructions, I applied two drops on my toothbrush and brushed my teeth as per normal. At first, it felt weird not having toothpaste foaming, but I got over it in a few seconds. The mouth felt very clean and fresh afterwards, and knowing that this was achieved without any artificial chemicals? I am a convert.
Besides using as toothpaste, this product can be used as a mouth wash too. Just mix two drops in a cup of water and gargle. It can also be used as a breath freshener on the go. As ingredients are food grade, no rinse is needed.
