Users crash porn site offering 200 free Japanese adult movies

An adult film company in Japan just put up 200 movies for free viewing–but the number of users climaxed–resulting in a messy site crash.

As parts of the world go into lockdown and various quarantine measures in hope of slowing down the spread of COVID-19 or the Wuhan coronavirus, businesses have begun to pitch in and offer free content to people forced to stay home. One of these sites is SOD or Soft on Demand, a production company for adult videos in Japan.

According to a report by Soranews, SOD had uploaded 200 adult movies on their website, for viewing between March 16 to March 31. Users can view them without a paywall.

How do you get to watch the movies for free?

The same report said that to access the movies, you have to register for an account on their website. You can use that account to then get through their portal to watch the movies.

They also included a promotion that the first 200 users who would use their accounts to “buy” one of the movies would receive a free sex toy as a gift.

For some reason, the free toy is a clever little device that masquerades as a drink bottle.

What a nice treat for anyone who’s stuck at home and into this sort of thing, isn’t it?

Why we can’t have nice things

However, as is ith anything that’s free, there’s a chance it gets ruined by everyone else–and that’s exactly what happened with these movie titles. The website SOD put up has crashed, and is still “in maintenance” a day after the movies were supposed to go up.

According to reports, the traffic crashed the site. Why it’s still not up, there is no news.

What are people saying about the downed website?

Here are some of the comments on the website and how it went down.

This commenter was wondering why there wasn’t a queueing system in place for people who wanted to access the website. To be fair, there is a system like that in event websites, but not for the free adult film site.

You’d never know how long someone would spend on that website, of course.

This other commenter wondered why he even made time to comment, and why he wasn’t already accessing the site.

Another commenter praised the website and production company as heroes.

Some felt that they had missed out on a great deal and a great time.

This commenter cleverly connected the free movies to the abundance of toilet paper.

COVID-19 causing more and more people to stay at home

Even as COVID-19 ravages the world, more and more people are forced to stay at home. Malaysia recently enacted a lockdown to stop the spread of disease, just as the Philippines did a few days before them.

The Olympics is pushing through despite fears of the Wuhan coronavirus.

Italy and Spain also enacted country-wide lockdowns of their citizens to limit movement and the spread of COVID-19. Singapore continues to resist any sort of mass quarantine.
