From 22 November 2019 till 2 January 2020, the team at One Farrer Hotel created a Christmas takeaway menu that is crafted to delight your gastronomy senses during the year-end festive period. Three of the highlight items include One Farrer’s Signature 6kg Salt Crusted Turkey (S$168), their Turmeric Marinated 6kg Turkey with Crusted Curry Coconut (S$158) and their 450g Christmas Rich Fruit Cake with Dried Longan and Brandied Fruits (S$28). These are definitely a deviation from the usual traditional way of preparations for Christmas dishes and are targeted towards those who want to try something different.
The items can all be conveniently ordered online via their official online store. You can also opt for self-collection at the hotel or for a delivery.
Signature Salt Crusted Turkey
One Farrer’s signature Christmas turkey is a salt crusted version that would reminds you of the familiar salt baked chicken. This traditional cooking method ensures the meat is tender and flavourful, overcoming the usual dry and tough texture which turkey meat is known for.
Turmeric Marinated Turkey with Crusted Curry Coconut
This is prepared with One Farrer’s own secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices that gives you an unique flavour of a turkey reminiscent of Asian roots. The flavour is indeed as unique as the name sounds and is suited for adventurous diners who want a break from the traditions.
Christmas Rich Fruit Cake with Dried Longan and Brandied Fruits
One Farrer’s Christmas fruit cake includes dried longan to give an Asian twist to the flavours. Similar to their alternative cooking methods for the earlier two turkey dishes, their fruit cake delivers something different from the usual traditions.
Nonetheless, if your palates are more conservation, One Farrer’s takeaway options include favourites such as their 6kg Oven Roasted Traditional Turkey With Truffle Essence (S$158). All turkeys are served with Chestnut Stuffing, Herbs Baby Potato with Chipotle Mayo, Maple-glazed Root Vegetable Medley with Brussels, Cranberry Orange Sauce and Pan Gravy. For hearty feasting, One Farer also offers the 3kg Roasted Black Angus Ribeye With Mustard Herbs Crust (S$208) and their perennial favourite, the 2kg Honey Glazed Boneless Ham (S$128).
