Some of you may have read that Big Box in Jurong East is put up for sale, and you may be interested in taking a trip down before it’s gone. Well, today we will be introducing the mall to you!

Big Box is an eight-storey building situated beside Jem in the Jurong East central area.

Food Options: 4/5

There are several food options here that are wallet-friendly as well. Take for example, Yummy.BOX which is their 800-seat food court and Munchy.BOX which is a small coffee shop at the entrance of the mall.

There are also a few little cafes spread around such as Minang Kitchen which serves Indonesian food. Minang Kitchen is located near to the J-walk bridge that joins Big Box to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

Uniqueness: 5/5

The mall in itself is unique such that it offers a huge range of lifestyle and fashion products warehouse-style. Each floor is divided into the different categories of products such as fresh produce at the Hyper.MART at Level 1 and Electronics at Electronics.BOX at Level 2.

The mall also boasts a bazaar-like layout in the basement, Buzz.BOX where the little pop-up stalls are similar to that of a “pasar-malam”, only indoors!

Big Box also has a Concert Live Hall and Event Space, [email protected] which has hosted several events including Kehlani – Live in Singapore and Fall Out Boys’ MANIA tour.

Tenant Mix: 5/5

A huge range of brands are featured in each section of the mall and they come together to offer shoppers a decent variety of products to choose from. For example, the “Sleep Academy” features a range of mattress and bed brands while “Living.BOX” offers furniture from many different labels.

The hypermart is also rather huge and you can definitely find what you’re looking for here. Currently, there is a section allocated to Halal foods due to the fasting season. The layout in the hypermart, while simple, is also spacious and easy for you to explore.

The basement also has 30 temporary stalls set up for the Hari Raya bazaar, which will run until June 14.
