The Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel is one of the most iconic landmark in the Orchard Road shopping belt in Singapore. It’s green pagoda-like rooftop is hard to miss, perched atop the CK Tang departmental store.
The hotel first opened it’s doors in 1995 and offers 393 guest rooms. It undergone a extensive S$35 million refurbishment in 2012 and the Executive Lounge was recently refurbished again in 2015 and 2016.
If you are looking for a weekend staycation in the heart of Orchard Road, the 5-star hotel is offering an attractive promotional rate from S$288++ per night for their Deluxe Room till 31 December 2017.
The Deluxe Room features the signature Marriott Revive bedding, a walk-in shower and full HD smart TV, among other amenities.
I stayed there recently over a weekend with my son, Asher and here are some photos of the Deluxe Room we stayed in:

This is a pretty good deal, given the superb geographic location, not to mention the dining credit thrown in with the late check-out. The only catch here is that this special promotional rate is exclusive for Singapore residents only.
The Marriott Cafe offers a wide selection of local and international delights. After a day out shopping at the nearby malls, Asher and I filled ourselves to the brim over an evening supper.
For breakfast, there is a wide selection of international spreads, ranging from fresh juices, Asian noodles to other hot favourites like pasta and porridge.
After indulging in too much good stuff, it is time to workout and shed those extra pounds!
The pool is located on level 5 and offers a great view of the Orchard shopping belt. The fitness centre is located one floor down, together with the hotel spa.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for guests if you sign up for the free Marriott Rewards program. If you are driving, one complimentary parking coupon is provided for one vehicle per one night stay.
The location of the hotel is perfect for those looking to indulge in a full weekend of retail therapy. CK Tang is just downstairs and ION Orchard is a few minutes away. Even if it’s raining, all the malls are connected via underground walkways. Shop till you drop and then return to your hotel to drop your loot and shop more after!
