Excite your tastebuds at RWS The GREAT Food Festival this Sep 21-24

If you just can’t get enough of gourmet food, this debut (and decadent) food festival will tempt your palate even more.

Any foodie’s dream will be reality as The Great Food Festival (TGFF) descends upon us this September 21-24 at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).

All self-restraint will be out of the window once you get a whiff of the exquisite creations prepared by some of the finest chefs in the world. Here’s what to expect at this food festival that is poised to be one of the most exciting thus far in 2017.

Star Chef Arena

Embark on an epicurean adventure with a wide array of over 50 dishes by favourite Michelin-starred chefs and award-winning restaurants across the world.

Many of the star chefs converging at TGFF’s Star Chef Arena are big names such as Enrico and Roberto Cerea (Italy) from the Three Michelin-starred Da Vittorio, who are also the names behind RWS’ Fratelli.

You will also be greeted with an unforgettable gastronomic experience with the likes of Emma Bengtsson (USA) who is the first ever Swedish female chef to run a two-star kitchen in the United States. She also hails from Two Michelin-starred Aquavit in New York.

Expect gastronomia at its pinnacle with Florian Favario – Eric Frechon’s protégé from Michelin-starred Céleste at The Lanesborough in London (UK) and other masterful chefs from other parts of the world.

Other equally astounding chefs are in the likes of Cat Cora (USA), the first and only female Iron Chef on Food Network’s Iron Chef America who fronts RWS’ Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora; Scott Webster (Australia) of Michelin-starred Osia Steak and Seafood Grill at RWS; and Hal Yamashita (Japan) who is known for his nouvelle Japanese creations and headlines RWS’ Syun.

Masayasu Yonemura (Japan), chef-owner of contemporary Japanese-French Michelin-starred Restaurant Yonemura in Kyoto and Tokyo; TV personality Ian Kittichai (Thailand) of Iron Chef Thailand fame who helms RWS’ Tangerine; as well as Singapore’s popular homegrown celebrity chef Sam Leong (Singapore) who spearheads RWS’ Forest森 will also be cooking up a storm at The Great Food Festival.

Resident chefs Michael Michaelidis of famed Joël Robuchon Restaurant at RWS, Singapore’s only dining establishment that has been awarded Three Michelin Stars for two consecutive years, and Lorenz Hoja ofTwo Michelin-starred L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon at RWS will be showcasing their culinary finesse at TGFF too.

Last but not least, Ben Spalding (UK), an alumnus of The Fat Duck and L’Enclume and one of London’s most innovative young chefs today; Kristen Kish (USA), winner of Bravo’s Top Chef Season 10 alongside “father of fusion” Susur Lee (Canada) of Tung Lok Heen at RWS are bound to whet your appetite with their mouthwatering dishes.

Rollin’ Sweet Times

You can’t help but to be enthralled at these drop-dead-gorgeous creations. Who knew sweet treats could be such a feast for the eyes as well?

As Asia’s largest consumer dessert and pastry showcase, there are over 300 delectable creations to be tried or taken home at The Great Food Festival.

Easily rub shoulders with the trendiest bakers and dessert chefs from around the world and pick up tricks of the trade at free masterclasses.

Join Instagram star bakers Julián Ángel and Clifford Luu at our specially created garden-inspired studio which will showcase their expertise in making the most vibrant, out of this world and picture-perfect cakes!

Heritage Lane

Immerse yourself in disparate culinary culture of the world such as Mexico, Italy, Spain, Thailand and Indonesia. Over 50 heritage-inspired dishes made with family recipes and long-standing cooking methods will have you salivating in no time.

What’s more, these dishes are whipped up by award-winning chefs, featuring some of the most talented in Singapore such as Eugenia Ong of Table@7 and Han Li Guang of Michelin-starred Labyrinth.
